HE05-06 - Ceiling and Roofing

Much like the human body, the head of any property (ceiling and roof) are routes that heat loss finds easiest to escape through. This, of course, is an important energy loss factor. The Vivienda Verde features are designed to reduce heat loss by 40% in comparison to a standard new build property.


To be able to avoid this loss, the ceiling and roof have expanded polistyrene domes with a vapour barrier, a layer of low weight concrete, an EPS thermal insulation layer and a concrete support on top which a a waterproof covering is applied with a separating layer to avoid leakage perforations. Finally a layer of gravel is applied.
